Black+White Photography is considered by many to be the purest form of photography.  Many think Black+White Photography forces one to see the image rather than the color. It can also convey remarkable purity of emotion or action and produce a classic or timeless look and it has always maintained its place with artists.  “Color causes someone to take a look at the photo, while Black+White will cause them to take a look into the photo.”

Viewing photos on an LCD screen lacks the reality that a paper print, large or small, can replicate. What we see on our computer, mobile and/or tablet screens is often quite different than what we see in person.  Even the best monitors or digital displays may not be properly calibrated for its viewing surroundings.  Bottom line, viewed image tonality will vary with monitor type and settings.
